President's Welcome

A Message From Our Chapter President
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of the Greater Boston Chapter. I step into this role with gratitude for those who have led before us and with great optimism about what we will build together in the years ahead.
This year, our chapter will be guided by the theme “Building What Lasts: Visibility, Value, and Viability.” These words represent more than a strategic direction—they reflect our commitment to strengthening our presence, deepening the value we bring to our members, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our work.
At the heart of this commitment are three priorities: growing our membership, strengthening chapter operations, and developing leaders who are accountable, prepared, and committed to making an impact. Our goal is to build a chapter that is not only active, but enduring—one that continues to inspire leadership, collaboration, and innovation for years to come.
My why for NAHSE is deeply personal. NAHSE creates a space for those who believe that leadership in healthcare should reflect the communities we serve. It is a place where individuals who are passionate about improving healthcare leadership, access, and outcomes for Black and Brown communities can come together to learn, lead, and create meaningful change.
For many of us, NAHSE represents more than professional development—it represents possibility. It is where emerging leaders find mentorship, where experienced professionals share wisdom, and where collective action leads to lasting impact. It is where people who care deeply about health equity and opportunity gather with the shared belief that we can help shape a more just and inclusive healthcare system.
As we look ahead, I invite you to be part of this journey. Whether you are a long-time member or newly discovering NAHSE, there is a place for you here. Through partnerships, programming, mentorship, and community engagement, we will continue to expand our reach and strengthen our impact.
Together, we will build a chapter that is visible in our communities, valuable to our members, and viable for the future. Most importantly, we will continue to create space for leaders who are committed to making a difference where it matters most.
Our Commitment
• We are building for longevity—not quick wins.
• Visibility fuels growth.
• Value sustains engagement.
• Viability ensures we last.
• Visibility fuels growth.
• Value sustains engagement.
• Viability ensures we last.
We are not here simply to participate in the future of healthcare leadership—we are here to shape it.
Cheers,
